Composite fillings are tooth-coloured, bonded and polished to match. GIC fillings release fluoride and suit small cavities, children's teeth and areas near the gum.
Cavity size
A small single-surface cavity takes less time and material than a large cavity spanning several surfaces.
Depth of decay
If decay has reached the nerve, a filling is not enough and the tooth needs a root canal, which is priced separately.
